Stroma Certification will be presenting at the Sustainable Homes – Sustainable Communities on the 7th of September 2010, Norcoft Centre, University of Bradford
An introduction to the Code for Sustainable Homes with linkages to other matters both voluntary and regulatory.
This event is being organised in partnership with Stroma Certification who are involved in all matters relating to training and certification for Building Sustainability and Compliance.
Speakers include experts from Universities of Sheffield and Abertay, Stroma Certification and our Bradford City Council staff.
Stroma Speaker slots include:-
- The Code: an introduction and overview – its aims and likely breadth of impact.
- Implementation: it's relationship to Local Authority Environmental Planning Policy and funded social housing.
- Building Regulations – an overview of Approved Documents Part L and Part G relating to energy efficiency and water usage.
- Approved Document Part L1 2010 and beyond: changes and industry implications.
- SAP 2009: a summary of changes
Following the introductory day it is intended to hold a series of courses to further explore the topics of the presentations including detail within the Code and its application to future developments.
